In case we haven’t formally met, my name is Natalie Fockel—Chief Garden Consultant & Founder of Kingdom Soil Garden Co. I’m glad you’re here. 🌿
I am a creator of beauty and life, passionate about spreading the disruptive joy and delight a garden can bring to a busy, chaotic, and hurting world. Through my gardening and coaching others, I invite people to learn more about the beauty and wonder of gardening through transforming their own space, imagining Eden—one space at a time.
So Here’s How It All Began…
I remember visiting a friend’s house in 3rd grade. We were there for her birthday party and there were tons of kids there to celebrate. Most kids wanted to go play in the birthday girl’s room—some kids wanted to dig right into the cake—but I was glued to an upstairs window looking down into the most beautiful backyard I had ever seen. It was magnificent—full of the most vibrant colors, textures, shapes, and sizes. This was my first taste of the kingdom.
From that moment on, I’ve been chasing beauty. My personal love for gardening began back in 2017, but really transformed my life in 2020. While navigating the complexities of Covid-19, I needed a new outlet. I needed more beauty—and I was intrigued about being able to grow my own fresh food. I quickly realized I was naturally gifted at gardening, and with each passing year, my love for this art has multiplied in spades. What began as a functional hobby, has since turned into one of my greatest passions. I look forward to sharing my love, joy, and excitement for gardening with as many people as possible to contribute to making this world a more beautiful place—one space at a time.
